Carole Laurin, B.Ed., PBCE
At 42 years of age, Carole had a right CVA (stroke) leaving her hemiplegic. An educator by profession, Carole has become an inspirational and educational speaker, writer and spokesperson on stroke prevention, recovery and patient centered care. Carole’s story and inspirations are featured in educational DVDs for health care providers, and national and local newspaper articles. Carole is active with the stroke recovery and support community at the national level in Canada.
In the fall of 2013, Carole published her book entitled, “When Stroke Meets Trust: A Journey of Inspiration”. The book captures her journey, insights and life lessons — how she dealt with profoundly life changing circumstances.
Carole currently lives in Ottawa with her family and can be reached for potential engagements.
